レクシスでは、できる限り対面でのレッスンをご受講いただくことをお勧めしておりますが、以下のようなやむを得ない事情がある場合、オンラインレッスンの受講を承ります。

~オンラインレッスン受講の対象となる状況~

  • インフルエンザや新型コロナウイルスなどの感染症に罹患した場合 
  • 怪我や入院により通学が困難な場合 
  • 台風や交通機関の運休などの交通障害が発生した場合 
  • 遠方への転居など、通学が著しく困難な場合 

※当日に通学されている学校へ出席可能な場合は、レクシスへの通学もお願いしております。

※通常の雨天はオンライン受講の理由として認められません。 

台風や交通機関の運休など、特別な天候状況の場合のみオンライン受講を検討いたします。

~オンラインレッスンご受講対象外のケース~

以下のクラスに該当する生徒様は、オンラインレッスンの対象外となります。

  • 7歳未満の生徒様　／　マット（未就学児）クラスの生徒様 
  • 『Let’s Begin』または『Let’s Go 1』の教材を使用している生徒様 

これらのクラスでは、対面でのきめ細やかな指導が必要となるため、オンラインでの対応が難しい場合がございます。

~特別な事情による例外~

長年レクシスに在籍し、学習の流れを十分に理解されている生徒様につきましては、特別な事情がある場合に限り、オンラインレッスンの継続受講を検討いたします。

これらのケースは事前にご相談いただき、個別に対応させていただきます。

~適切な受講環境について~

オンラインレッスンを受講される際は、静かで安定したインターネット接続が可能な場所 

でのご受講をお願いしております。

以下のような環境での受講はご遠慮ください。

  • 移動中の車内や公共交通機関内 
  • 空港、カフェ、レストラン、ショッピングモールなどの公共の場 
  • 家庭内での騒音がある場所（掃除機の使用中、他の子供が遊んでいる近く、兄弟姉妹が同時にオンラインレッスンを受講している場合など） 

これらの環境は、生徒様ご自身や他のクラスメイトの学習に支障をきたす可能性がありますのでご遠慮ください。また、以下のような環境でオンラインレッスンをご受講の場合、レッスンをお断りさせていただきます。

オンラインレッスンご受講にあたってのお願い：

授業開始前に宿題の写真を撮影し、事前にTeamsのグループにご提出ください。 

授業時間を有効に活用し、フィードバックすることができます。

保護者様からのご連絡について：

オンラインレッスンをご希望の場合、できるだけ早め、可能であれば前日までにご連絡をお願いいたします。 授業開始直前や開始後のご連絡は、教材の準備や授業進行に支障をきたす可能性があります。 緊急の場合を除き、事前のご連絡にご協力ください。日頃より早めにご連絡をいただいている保護者の皆様には、心より感謝申し上げます。

オンラインレッスンご受講にあったってご準備いただいたいこと：

オンラインレッスンを円滑に進めるため、以下の点をご確認ください。

  • Teamsをダウンロードし、ユーザー登録してください
  • https://www.microsoft.com/ja-jp/microsoft-teams/log-in
  • 名前をお子様の名前に設定してください
  • ※お手数ですが、講師がすぐわかるようお子様の名前に変更をお願いいたします
  • 使用するデバイスとインターネット接続の事前確認 
  • カメラおよびマイクの正常な動作確認 
  • ミュートや音量調整など、基本的な操作の習得 

接続不良の際、再起動しても接続されなかった場合は、授業の進行が止まってしまうため、レッスンをご受講いただけない場合がございます。事前に機器の動作確認を行っていただきますようお願いいたします。

オンライン受講に関するお願い：

オンライン受講が生徒様ご自身や他のクラスメイトの学習に影響を及ぼすと判断される場合、対面での受講をお願いすることがあります。

これまで皆様のご協力のおかげで、トラブルなくオンラインレッスンを実施することができております。引き続き、質の高い教育を提供できるよう努めてまいりますので、ご理解とご協力を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

Online Lesson Guidelines

At Lexis, we encourage in-person attendance whenever possible, as it provides the richest learning experience through direct interaction and a strong classroom community. However, when unavoidable circumstances arise, online lessons may be arranged under the guidelines below.

Situations Eligible for Online Attendance

Online lessons are approved only when a student cannot come to Lexis because of:

  1. Contagious illness (e.g., influenza or COVID-19)
  2. Injury or hospitalization
  3. Major transport disruption (e.g., typhoons, train stoppages)
  4. Extreme distance after a relocation that makes commuting impractical

If a student is healthy enough to attend their regular day school, we expect them to attend Lexis in person as well.

Ordinary rain is not a valid reason for online attendance. Only severe weather or transport shutdowns qualify.

🚫 Classes Not Eligible for Online Lessons

  • Students under 7 years old
  • All mat (preschool) classes
  • Students using Let’s Begin or Let’s Go 1 textbooks

These groups require close, hands-on support that cannot be delivered effectively online (except in private lessons).

✅ Special Exceptions

Long-term Lexis students who already know classroom routines may, in rare cases, continue online lessons (e.g., after moving away). Such cases require advance approval.

🧘‍♂️ Appropriate Learning Environment

Online lessons must be taken in a quiet, stable location with strong internet.
Unsuitable environments include:

  • Moving cars or public transport
  • Airports, cafés, restaurants, or shopping malls
  • Noisy rooms at home (vacuum running, children playing nearby, siblings on another call)

If the teacher determines that the environment disrupts learning and cannot be corrected quickly, the student may be asked to leave the call and attend in person for future lessons.

Homework Submission (via Teams)

Please upload clear photos of homework to the class Teams group before the lesson begins so teachers can review and prepare feedback.

📞 Parent Communication

  • Contact the office as early as possible—preferably the day before—to request an online lesson.
  • Last-minute calls or messages (within 5 minutes before/after class start) hinder lesson preparation and may result in reduced support.
  • 🙏 Thank you to the many parents who consistently notify us in advance. Your cooperation keeps lessons running smoothly.

💻 Technical Setup & Readiness

  1. Download Microsoft Teams and create an account.
  2. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app
  3. Set the display name to your child’s name so teachers can identify them quickly.
  4. Check your device and internet connection beforehand.
  5. Confirm the camera and microphone work.
  6. Ensure your child can mute/unmute and adjust volume independently.

If a connection remains unstable even after restarting, the lesson may need to end for that student to avoid disrupting the class.

✋ Maintaining Class Harmony

If online participation adversely affects the student or classmates, we may request that the student resume in-person attendance.

We have had many outstanding online students, and we greatly appreciate the time and effort parents invest to make online learning successful. Your continued support enables us to provide high-quality education for every child.
