小学生対象クラスではレクシスが生徒たちに講師は真っ向勝負！ ここから生徒たちが輝き始めます。 読み方の基礎から始め、質的および量的に分析された文章を段階的に読み進めるにつれて、短い本と段落から読めるようになります! ヨーロッパのCEFR基準に加えて、読解力においてアメリカのLexile測定値（※） にも細心の注意を払っています。 これは、生徒たちが年齢に合ったレベルに達していることを確認し、英語の達人へと成長していることを意味します.

※Lexile Measure（レクサイル指数）とは、アメリカのMetaMetrics社が開発した英語の「読解力」および「文章の難易度」を示す指標のことで、世界165カ国以上で活用されています。 アメリカでは、学校で定期的に実施される学力テストでもLexile指数が測定されます。

さらに、生徒たちが積極的に聴いて参加しようとすることがカリキュラムの重要なポイントです。口頭で自分自身を表現することも必要ですが、英語のライティングも重視しています。 ライティングは簡単なものから少しずつ始めます。1 年生では短い文章を、3 年生では段落のあるまとまった文章を、5 年生までには 5 部構成のエッセイに発展します。全生徒のレベルを確認し、高い学力がある場合は、より高いレベルのクラスに参加することをすすめます. つまり、少し年上の生徒と一緒に勉強する可能性もあります。 また、伸び悩んでいる生徒が参加できるオプションもあります。

1年生から6年生までの完全な英語教育をご用意しています。 Lexis が使用するコンテンツは、北米、オーストラリア、および英国の学術機関で使用されているものですのでご安心ください。 さらに、GTECや英検など、英語力を向上させるための日本固有のテスト対策もあります。 Lexis の生徒が 7 歳で英検 準2級 を受験することも珍しくありません。 8 歳の子どもたちを英検 2 級合格に導びけたことも誇りに思っています。熱心な生徒は、中学校に入学するかなり前に英検準 1 級を取得する可能性が非常に高くなります。

引き続き流暢さを目指します。 生徒は小学生のプログラムを終え、レクシスでも家でも英語力をつけていきます。 海外から帰国して Lexis に入学することは、身につけた英語力を失うことなく、日本での生活に自然なに戻ることができます。 しかし、中学時代の英語力を維持するだけではなく、着実に英語力を伸ばしていくことを目標としています。 小学校で英語の基礎を身につければ、中学校での文法の復習も苦になりません。 ガイド付き復習と文章の自然な読み上げにより、生徒は直感的に正しい文法を理解します。 もちろん、帰国子女の英検対策もレッスンプランに含まれています。

世界中で、ライティングは中学生にとって大きな課題となっています。 Lexis では、上手にエッセイを書けるように、段階的に学びます。 まずは文章の基礎を復習して、そこから組み立てていきます。 序論、論文、結論とは何か、 言い換えとは何か、情報源を引用する必要があるのはいつかなど このレベルになるとたくさん質問がでます！ それらすべてにお答えします。

リーディングもこのレベルで続けていきます。質的および量的測定が引き続き使用され、すべての生徒が優れた読書コンテンツで学べます。 ここでも、CEFR の採点済みコンテンツが使用され、Lexile 測定は引き続き、生徒、保護者、教師が各生徒のレベルを理解するのに役立ちます。

十分に確立された Lexis カリキュラムを受けながらも、生徒がまだ英検 1級 に合格していない場合、合格するために受験するタイミングです。私たちの毎週のレッスンは、可能な限り最高レベルの英語でのコミュニケーションに焦点を当てています。 SAT、TOEFL、IELTSテストなどの外国のテストの準備と受験方法について生徒を指導します。 日本に滞在する生徒のために、大学入試、TOEIC、パブリック スピーキング、インターナショナル スタイル ディベートの教材もカバーしています。 高校卒業後に海外に向かう生徒のために、私たちはそれらの国の文化や、大学の期待値と要件を詳しく調べ、生徒が目指す学校に入学させるために必要なものに焦点を当てていきます.

Aside from providing a 100% English environment, this class uses songs, books, toys, and the body to get kids moving, living and experiencing life as English speakers. Exciting times await those who are not afraid to speak loudly in English!  From bouncy castles to story books with lovable characters, and from juggling to playing catch, Lexis provides a complete homeroom system by an experienced North American foreign instructor. In terms of education, the fundamentals of reading, including comprehension, sight reading, and phonics will be covered. Typical students will be reading short paragraphs before elementary school, often at 5 years old. In addition, the first signs of handwriting will be nurtured into skilled penmanship, as letters begin to turn into words, and words become sentences. In terms of curriculum, we use the easy to understand European CEFR system, for our youngest classes and build upon that using the LEXILE framework to help parents understand student progress.

In elementary school, Lexis challenges students head on! This is where our students begin to shine. Starting with the fundamentals of reading, we begin with short books and paragraphs as students progress through a wide collection of graded reading: both qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed for student success! In addition to the European CEFR standards, we also pay close attention to American Lexile measurements in reading achievement. This means we make sure all our students have age appropriate and level appropriate content that will develop them into proud readers and masters of English.

Beyond this, active listening and student participation are key points in our curriculum. Students are asked to express themselves verbally, but starting in elementary school, effective English writing is also a priority. Writing will start at a gentle pace but will develop from short sentences in first grade to paragraphs in third grade and five part essays by fifth grade. We find the right level for all of our students. We don't hesitate to allow more advanced students to join higher level classes if they are capable. That means, for our talented and gifted students, they may be studying with slightly older students, in order to get them ahead even further. We also have options available for struggling students as well.

We offer the complete 1st through 6th grade English education. Rest assured that the content Lexis uses, is what is being at academic institutions in North America, Australia, and the UK. In addition, we offer students many opportunities to advance their English for Japan specific tests, such as GTEC and Eiken. It is not uncommon for Lexis students to be taking Eiken Pre 2 at 7 years old. We are proud to say we have even helped 8 year old children pass Eiken 2. It is quite likely that a dedicated student will Eiken Pre 1 well before entering junior high school.

At Lexis, through our 25+ years of experience, we understand bilingual and returnee students very well. Each lesson contains many opportunities for students to speak, and they are often encouraged to share the realities of being bilingual in Japan. Together we can joke about the easiness of Japanese Elementary School English, or discuss what it is like being the only student in their public or private school class who can speak English. We'll talk news, entertainment, fashion, current events and demand critical thinking in English. At Lexis, students will be with other returnee and bilingual students, that means it is a great place for them to let down their guard, and take in English in a natural way.

As months go by in our lessons, new students will come back from abroad and join. Occasionally, current students may go abroad again. This means students will constantly be exposed to new students their own age, coming from around the world, always with interesting stories to tell.

The path to fluency continues. As students have come through our elementary program, they will be at home with Lexis and used to our progression. For students returning from abroad and entering Lexis, this is a natural way to ease back into life in Japan while not losing students' well acquired English skill. However, our goal is not simply to maintain English ability in the junior high school years, but rather to improve English ability steadily. By mastering English fundamentals in elementary school, reviewing grammar in junior high school will not be a chore. Through guided review and reading sentences naturally, students will intuitively figure out correct grammar. Returnee Eiken lessons are naturally included in our lesson plans too.

Worldwide, writing becomes a major challenge for students in junior high school. At Lexis, we expect well written essays. We do this by preparing students progressively. First, reviewing the fundamentals of sentences, then building from there. What is an introduction, a thesis, a conclusion? What is paraphrasing? When do I need to cite my sources? There are so many questions at this level! We will answer them all.

Reading will also continue at this level as we continue to use our qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure good strong reading content for all students! Once again, CEFR graded content will be used, and the Lexile measurement will continue to be guiding light to help students, parents and teachers understand each student's level.

With 25+ years of experience, we understand bilingual and returnee students. Every lesson consists of many opportunities for students to speak, and they are often encouraged to share the realities of being bilingual in Japan. Being a junior high school student is hard everywhere, but being unique, in that a student is bilingual, can create its own challenges here in Japan. We often discuss what it is like when our Lexis students can speak better English than their own teachers in their public or private schools. We'll talk about current events, businesses, fashion, politics, the economy, and press students to use critical thinking when communicating and debating in English. At Lexis, students will be with other returnee, mixed race and bilingual students, that means it is a great place for them to be challenged and have fun in an international environment, and take in English in a natural way.

Along with our well established Lexis curriculum, if students have not yet passed Eiken 1, this is the stage to do so. Our weekly lessons focus on communicating at the highest level of English possible. We coach students on how to prepare for and take foreign tests such as the SAT, TOEFL and IELTS tests. For students staying in Japan we also cover materials for university entrance examinations, TOEIC, public speaking and international style debate. For students headed abroad after high school, we take a closer look at the cultures of those nations, the expectations and requirements of those universities, and often have ample opportunity to focus directly on what is needed to get students in to those schools.

Classroom activities often focus on researching points, expressing ideas, defending your opinion, and then attempting to tackle ideas from an opposing perspective. These are core practices of critical thinking. Students will be asked to write multiple page essays, engage in lively English debate, challenge themselves with advanced grammar, take on academic vocabulary and summarize the speeches of experts. Despite the high level of these topics, we also respect students time and can give students less homework during their midterms and finals at their regular schools.
